For our client (Basel/Pharma) we are searching a

Brand Safety Leader (w/m) 100%The role:
  • Responsible for safety issue management from end of Phase I (POC) through Life Cycle Management
  • Accountable for overall signal detection, monitoring, evaluation, interpretation and appropriate management of safety information
  • Accountable for developing and updating, at milestones, the safety profiling and risk management plan from end of Phase I (POC) through Life Cycle Management, as relevant
  • Assist in training of new hires and mentor/coach direct reports as required
  • Performs medical review of individual SAEs from clinical trials with the support of the PVE as applicable and is responsible for preparation/submission investigator notifications
  • Acts as back-up for medical review and assessment and related activities for single cases (post-marketing and/or clinical trials)
  • Provides Pharmacovigilance input to initial development of basic prescribing information and is responsible for Pharmacovigilance input to updates of this information
  • Responsible for medical and drug safety input to aggregate clinical safety regulatory reports, safety profiling plan and risk management plans

Minimum requirements:

  • Global Drug safety experience (5-7 years)
  • At least 3 – 5 years experience in health authority response and medical review (entire process)
  • Ability to write PSUR, DSUR etc. and lead safety meetings
  • Master Degree in Science
  • Broad experience in safety regulations and requirements; desirably knowledge of trials in oncology
  • Good writing skills (aggregated safety reports etc.)
  • Leadership (leading international cross functional teams); preferable candidates who worked as well already in other areas outside of Safety before (eg, Clinical, Medical affairs etc.)
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
