Business Project Manager (Project Portfolio Manager-Banking Area)

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Project management of a portfolio of System Integration and IT projects related to a community of Avaloq Sourcing clients
  • Coordination and collaboration with the Program Managers responsible for other projects’ delivery to the same community of clients
  • Periodical status reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Management of the clients implementation projects’ lifecycle (offering, analysis & design, implementation, test, delivery and post delivery)
  • Monitoring and controlling of projects’ indicators to ensure their on-time delivery and compliance with the defined budget and high quality standards
  • Coordination of test activities at the clients’ premises to address any possible issues and meet the clients’ expectations
  • Support to the senior management in new projects and business initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Education:
  • Completed University Degree in finance or/and IT related subjects
  • Proven work experience in large system integration projects in the financial services industry as a Project Manager
  • Practical experience in supplier management
  • PMP or PRINCE2 Certification and Avaloq knowledge are considered as a strong plus
  • Excellent negotiation and problem solving abilities 
  • Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills as well as well-developed leadership potential
  • Ability to work successfully under pressure both in a team and independently
  • Flexible to travel within Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg
  • Fluent in English and either in German or Italian, while French is a plus
