Our client is one of the world’s leading Private Bank currently looking for Senior Compliance Officer to join their Lugano team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cross border framework:Participate to the establishment and implementation of a consistent operating framework for the identification, management, monitoring and reporting of Cross Border risks and issues
  • Consider internal and statutory requirement and verify that are consistently embedded in the banks framework
  • Participate to the IT developments through the definition of the requirements, the participation to test sessions, the opening of tickets to correct bugs or introduce minor improvements
  • Participate to the establishment of a sound governance framework covering all material compliance-related risks, as defined above, throughout the bank group using a common framework and language.
  • Contribute to the implementation of a framework of supporting controls.
  • Contribute to the implementation of an effective reporting, addressing all relevant aspects related to Cross Border activities at level Group.
Your Background:
  • Good understanding of current and anticipated country requirements and supervisory expectations for one or two relevant market Areas.
  • Good knowledge of MIFID regulation, IS&A  requirements
  • Good knowledge of Products and Services offered by Private Banking organizations.
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in Compliance
  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements that affect the business unit, with particular reference to cross border issues
  • Broad knowledge of banking and financial activity
  • Balancing analytical and detail-oriented skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Networking skills and teamwork with Risk, Audit and Legal functions, as well business originators
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and comfortable with change
  • Ability to deliver compliance issues in a non-technical way to the business unit’s senior management team
  • Confident, able to communicate with clarity and purpose both in written and verbal format
  • Languages: English and Italian. German and French are welcome
