Senior Technical Services Engineer for Completions Business

In order to reinforce the Engineering team in Basel we are currently recruiting for an
Senior Technical Services Engineer for Completions Business

Our on-site engineering teams at Jet Aviation Basel provide custom solutions to meet the customers specifications, while ensuring technical feasibility and certification requirements, whether to equip an entirely green aircraft with a customized cabin interior or upgrade the IFE system on the aircraft or elements of an existing interior.

  • A proficiency and strong knowledge of the following areas, able to give thorough guidance and provide practical Technical Solutions to queries
    • SRMs, IPCs, AMMs, MPDs, SBs, ADs, OEM standard practices

    • Research of correct effectivity Manufacturer Drawings for both Boeing and Airbus aircraft, regarding Installations, Assembly, composite parts and wiring installations

    • Fluent knowledge of available data and efficient extraction from MyBoeingFleet, Airbusworld, EASA, FAA websites

    • Sound experience of effectively compiling manufacturer Service/Technical Requests in order to resolve Technical Queries and gain approval for conditions exceeding existing approved data

    • Understanding of Technical Notes, Technical Objection/Structural Acceptance statements, RAS/8110-3/8100-9/TA/ RDR forms,

    • A good understanding of aircraft industry fasteners, Metallic and Composite materials and processes, such as corrosion protection, heat treatments, material tempers, NDI, fastener substitution

    • Familiarity with electrics, WDM, AWL, ASM

  • Aircraft apprenticeship followed by further education HNC/HND/Part66 Licence, with a minimum of 5 years aircraft maintenance, manufacturer, or operator experience, or
  • Engineering degree with a minimum 7 years aircraft maintenance, manufacturer, or operator experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft structural and system design and acceptable repair principles
  • Fluency in English and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all personnel at the appropriate level.
An understanding of Part 21J and 21G privileges, plus Part 145 and CAMO responsibilities in respect to maintenance and outfittingGood communication and interpersonal skillsProactive, forward thinking and self motivated team player.Knowledge and experience of obtaining Alternative Means of Compliance from Regulatory authorities for new/existing airworthiness directives related to STC itemParticipation in working groups to outline the strategy and course for new products, initiatives or solution to occurrences
