U.S. State, China or Canada ProvincesGeorgiaCityBudapest, Atlanta, BadenPostal Code1138Relocation AssistanceNoRole Summary/PurposeThis senior architect will serve as expert for ALL Projects in S&OP and planning space across SAP and Oracle applications for the GE Power Services business and support the integration activities.Essential ResponsibilitiesServes as direct liaison to functional process owners in order to translate and prioritize requirements for Supply Chain Planning projects and support for GE Power Business.

Serve as both functional & technical specialist for critical Supply Chain applications such as Demantra, VCP, SAP APO, ASCP & Inventory Optimization including Oracle and SAP Platforms.

  • Envision multi-year VCP roadmap and support the business in the S&OP maturity curve.
  • Responsible for translating high-level forecasting and planning business requirements into detailed functional specifications and managing requests for changes to the specifications.
  • Assists the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are then integrated with other business and technical processes.
  • Researches development in assigned technology, helps determine business requirements, proposes changes, develops migration and implementation plans, and may execute projects based on these activities.
  • Expert on Supply Chain Management principles and the implementation of those principles using Oracle ERP systems
  • Maintains functional peer relationships and detailed working knowledge of the assigned area’s systems, organization, and business processes.
  • Implement new Oracle VCP functionality and applications
  • Demonstrate command of Demantra architecture and provide technical guidance
  • Work with analyst /architects on designs and design documents
  • Collaborate with Planning architects to ensure proposed systemic enhancements are within architecture design strategy
  • In-depth understanding of global Demand and Supply Planning processes including S&OP leading practices and APICS’ fundamentals
  • Functional and technical experience implementing complex ERP systems in a global matrix environment
  • Forecasting and planning knowledge in a services landscape in multi layered supply chain environment.
  • Apply principles of Lean and Six Sigma to drive business process improvements on assigned projects
  • Provide technical and functional support during the monthly Power S&OP business cycles
  • Working knowledge on Oracle VCP – SAP integrations

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Very strong experience in the field of Information Technology
  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, a related technical discipline or Business related degree with Oracle ERP implementation experience
  • Skilled at implementing and using the Oracle Value Chain Planning applications (specifically Demantra, Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), Advanced Planning Command Center(APCC), Inventory Optimization) , SAP APO
  • Familiar with Demantra and Master Scheduling and Slotting solutions
  • Significant hands-on experience with Oracle VCP
  • Hands-on work with Demantra worksheet, series, & collections as well as ASCP collections, plan setups, & workbench
  • In-depth understanding of global Demand and Supply Planning processes including S&OP theories and APICS’ fundamentals
  • Functional and technical experience implementing complex ERP systems in a global matrix environment
  • Knowledge of the GE tollgate project processes and documentation requirements
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with clients and suppliers
  • Able to fluently speak and write in the English language
  • Familiarity with Oracle Strategic Network Optimization, Collaborative Planning, Production Scheduling, Global Order Promising, Rapid Planning
