Global Marketing Manager

Art Basel stages the world's premier modern and contemporary art shows, held annually in Basel, Miami Beach, and Hong Kong as well as innovative artworld engagement platforms such as Art Basel Crowdfunding and Art Basel Cities. Art Basel is looking for a dynamic personality who is ready to step in as a:


  • Supporting the implementation of the brand strategy, internally and externally
  • Regularly updating the brand identity guidelines book, together with the Creative Manager
  • Implementing the brand equity measurement system, together with an agency
  • Developing & implementing a global marketing initiatives plan
  • Planning & supporting the promotion of new and existing initiatives
  • Developing marketing toolboxes for the regions
  • Developing & managing a global advertising strategy
  • Handling the day-to-day contact with communications agencies
  • Aligning & partnering internally with all business units and regional organizations
  • Leading a team with currently two direct reports
  • Budgeting & controlling for all global marketing activities

  • Higher level degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in leading the development and implementation of sophisticated global marketing & communications strategies
  • Experience in brand strategy development and implementation
  • Demonstrated record of successfully managing internal and external resources
  • Demonstrated ability to work on tight deadlines and excel in a fast-paced business environment
  • People and team leading skills
  • Willing to periodically work overtime, weekends and occasionally travel
  • Sensitivity and understanding of other cultures. Interest in cultural affairs / the visual arts
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills in English, with additional languages being an advantage
