An exciting opportunity for a Cell Culture Technician has arisen within the development team in our new GMP laboratory. A leader in the development and manufacture of cell therapies who provide high quality research and GMP grade mesenchymal stromal cells and nano particles extracted from those cells.
You will engage in the generation, banking and testing of adipose tissue and umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stromal cells. This will involve enzymatic/non-enzymatic digestion of adipose tissue or umbilical cord material of human origin, separation of mesenchymal cells, preparation of media for cell culture, tissue culture and maintenance, testing and characterization of cells. You will also work on isolation and generation of other cell types such as monocytes from blood or any other cells types required by our research and development program.
In addition, you will be responsible for the maintenance and the purchasing of the laboratory equipment and consumables.
You’ll have the opportunity to progress into senior roles within the company.
Qualifications/Experience: Youhave a completed apprenticeship as a biology laboratory technician or a degree in a life-science subject with at least 4 years of relevant experience in aseptic techniques and cell culture.
