RUAG Aviation is part of the international RUAG group which is active in the fields of Aerospace and Defence and employs more than 8,000 employees worldwide. We are the center of excellence for civil and military aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and for developing, manufacturing and integrating aviation systems and subsystems. In this role, you are working in our Support Unit Supply Chain in Lodrino but will take also responsibility for Locarno and Agno (TI).
Personnel and operational responsibility of the departments purchasing, material planning, disposition and logistics (14 employees)
Budgeting with cost center responsibility
Ensure efficient logistic services (i.a. transport, receiving, storage and material delivery) in coordination with the shops
Implementation of SCM strategy and objectives at the site
Strategic and operational procurement activities (especially supplier evaluation and procurement market research)
Active participation in make-or-buy decisions
Point-of-contact for the assigned center and projects
Skills & experience
Technical apprenticeship with additional commercial background
Further education in procurement
Several years of experience in a similar position (logistics / procurement)
High process orientation and understanding of inter-linked dependencies
Initiative and communicative leader with high assertiveness and negotiation skills
Very good knowledge of SAP MM and PM module (PP module is a plus) as well as knowledge in MS Office are mandatory
Excellent skills of written and spoken Italian and English and any other language (German) is a plus
