In this role you are working in our Center Engineering in Emmen.
Ensuring the structural integrity of the Swiss Air Force jet fleets (primarily F/A-18)
Performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis, including spectrum generation
Structural substantiation of repair designs and modifications
Development and validation of FEM models
Programming calculation routines in Python, Matlab and/or Visual Basic
Editing technical reports
Skills & experience
University degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in lightweight construction
Proven experience in the fatigue and damage tolerance analysis of aircraft structures
Ability to autonomously comprehend the mechanism of a structural finding and resolve the issue from an engineering perspective
Profound knowledge of the S/W tools: Hypermesh, Nastran, Afgrow as well as in technical programming
Very good German and English language skills are required (both written and spoken, level C1)
