Investor Relations Manager (IRM)
Depending on the experience and seniority the Investor Relations Manager (IRM) helps developing the equity story to sell to the investment community and all stakeholders (shareholders, the capital market, employees and the general public) to protect the share price valuation from rumors, competition environment changes or adverse macro-economic trends. The IRM has directrelationships with the financial community and investors to ensure that a favorable climate of opinion is maintained in the best interests of shareholders. To do so the IRM has regularly meets with analysts and investors to obtain funds and ensure LafargeHolcim has right mix of investors in its portfolio to support growth.
Fully understands the LafargeHolcim strategy in order to competently interact with the thefinancial community. Ensure that LafargeHolcim is presented to all internal and externalstakeholders (including shareholders, the capital market, employees and the general public) inthe most favorable light.
Organize and participate to roadshows and reverse roadshows (with or without management), including equity roadshows, SRI roadshows (jointly with Group Public Affairs / Group Legal) and debt roadshows, jointly with Group Corporate Finance and Treasury.
Network extensively with other group functions such as controlling, communications, legal, SD and also has direct contact with other ExCo members and local CEOs, CFOs and Treasurers in order to develop a broad understanding of all relevant events happening in countries.
Maintain regular contact with a broad range of investors, analysts and rating agencies to ensure that they are provided with timely, accurate and high quality information.
Conduct analysis to decide which investors to focus on so that LafargeHolcim has the right mix of investors to support growth.
Develop extensive communication and Q&A documents (with input from other departments such as Reporting / consolidation and Controlling / performance management) ahead of quarterly results and agree key messages with CEO and CFO.
Ensure consistency of financial messages delivered worldwide by LafargeHolcim
Market watch and identification of the changes in the shareholding structure of the Group
Manage and animate the French shareholder's Club
Participate to the organization of the Annual General Meeting jointly with Group Legal and Group Communication
Key interfaces, stakeholders and relationships:
Internal: CEO, CFO, EXCO, Board members, country CEOs, CFOs and Treasurers, Head of Corporate Finance and Treasury, Communications, Strategy, Reporting and consolidation, Controlling and performance management, Legal, Sustainable Development.
External: A broad range of investors (short and long term, including Institutions, Hedge Funds and Individual shareholders), and key «opinion shapers» such as buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts, credit analysts, rating agencies, banks and syndicates, network of other IR professionals.
Education in Finance, Business Administration
5+ years of successful professional experience in various relevant functions such as strategy, accounting, controlling, financial analysis on countries or at Group level.
Technical / functional skills:
Broad and deep finance knowledge.
A generalist with an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of business and strategy.
Deep understanding of accounting treatments with deep knowledge of financial markets.
In-depth understanding of investor categories.
Cement industry knowledge
Ability to effectively communicate with external audiences especially in the financial community
At ease in interacting with senior management (ExCo Members and all other Senior Group Executives)
Reliable and trustworthy with excellent communication and cooperation skills.
Able to explain complex financial matters clearly and concisely.
Extensive network of contacts in the financial community.
Leadership and managerial abilities: strong team player
Language Requirements: Fluent English, French and/or German are an advantage.
