Head of Internal Communication - Zurich or Paris
The job holder will lead the Internal Engagement and Channels teams to support the Group strategy and the achievement of the company's business objectives to ensure a global, positive, coherent, and credible image as the most advanced group in its sector. In doing so, this role will be responsible for delivering internal and external communications channels in the framework of the overall communications strategy, that is used proactively and reactively as well as establishing appropriate tactics and programs to convey corporate messages effectively to targeted audiences. The job holder will manage and further improve the strategic channels mix, including digital as well as printed communications channels and events. This role includes the production of rich collateral for internal and external channels (ensuring that the right information is available in the right channel at the right time). A major focus of this role will be support for the CEO and Excom in driving the transformation and integration of the new company as well as the definition of innovative tactics and programs to communicate the company's business objectives, desired culture and values to all employees. The job holder will be expected to work closely with peers within and outside the function, to ensure that value creation from all work engaged is maximized and a comprehensive level of support is ensured for the entire organization.
Work with the Group Head of Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainable Development, the CEO and the Excom to define the communications' priorities and narrative to support delivery of the business strategy.
Define, validate and implement the Group communications channels (except media), including the corporate internal communications system, digital communications channels and key event and publications.
Ensure the production and quality of these media and messaging, in promoting a positive image of the group and its top executives.
Define the process and contents to ensure that the Group's priorities and positioning are taken into account in publications and messaging at all levels.
Ensure the Group's communications system is fully aligned with business and communications objectives, with flexibility to engage with its target audiences (as defined).
Ensure a structured internal communications process, with clear guidelines on the role of corporate internal communications in relation to processes developed at region and country levels.
Ensure feedback mechanisms are in the place to message penetration and enable system adaptations, where required.
Build, manage and further improve communications channels commensurate to the communication ambitions of the new group and support the regions and countries in their respective tasks by rolling out policies, processes, standards and tools.
Support transformation and integration process of the new Group and coordination in close collaboration with the HR function.
Developing and implementing digital communications strategy (website, intranet, social media) and relevant policies at corporate and country levels, ensuring alignment across the global communications network.
Lead the editorial team in contributing to the development of specific internal and external communications, using all channels, consistent with the needs of the integration process, internal priorities such as Health & Safety and cost management.
Ensure the delivery of the corporate publications (print and film) and events related to the group's business, within the context of the overall vision and direction of the group communication strategy.
Build, manage and mentor a collaborative and high performing team.
Ensure the Internal Relations and Production team operates in a cost efficient manner, maximizing value creation from all the actions undertaken through the development of appropriate KPIs and benchmarking.
Degree / MBA equivalent (Bachelor's Degree in Business, English, Communications, or Journalism a plus).
