Senior Accountant

For our client in Fribourg we are looking for a Senior Accountant for a 6 month contract.

Execute Accounts Payable activities for a Financial Service Center (FSC) market and pro-vide timely and accurate output as requested by the market accounting regulations
* Deputy the R2P Manager in the activities of guidance and supervision of the division R2P team. Act as team leader by organizing and monitoring the activity of the team
* Train other team members and be co-responsible of the output quality and accuracy level
* Propose and drive continuous improvement and process excellence initiatives to raise the quality output and bring the KPI at target
* Ensure highest level of compliance

Major Accountabilities
* Process of 3 party, T&E and intercompany invoices, ensuring highest level of quality and accuracy (20%)
* Customer relationship management (Phone support, generic mailbox). Act as contact point for market, monitor incoming queries and ensure customer satisfaction
* Preparation of any analysis, root causing and presentation of results and actions
* Perform NFCM controls (SOX compliance), segregation of duties and user access reviews. Supervise control execution
* Timely execution of month-end closing tasks at high quality standards o Propose and post month end accruals o Execute month and month end reconciliations
* Participate to internal and external projects and initiatives o Run small projects and process improvement initiatives
* Deputy R2P manager when required
* Training of associates as well as the market and suppliers
* Onboard new joiners
* Organize R2P team day to day operations to nullify backlog and improve KPI,
-improvement and quick wins
- Support GL accounting tasks for Spain / Portugal
- Provide accounting and closing skills to ensure accurate accounts and timely reporting
- Ensure high quality of financial data and guarantee compliance to Group and BU Reporting standards as well as statutory requirements
- Business partner with designated Local Business Units to ensure that business objectives are met through provision of timely, accurate and relevant
