Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd. is looking for a


  • Generate/improve models for engine process and thermodynamic overall system simulations
  • Develop simulation tools to support engine performance / thermodynamic experts
  • Provide tools for tests and layout of engines to WinGD and CSPI engineers
  • Apply simulation tools, generate and improve engine portfolio and project specific data
  • Maintain and manage tools (version control)
  • Plan and perform measurement campaigns, evaluate the results and compare these to simulations
  • Support CSPI simulation engineers
  • Coach and guide less senior colleagues and students


  • MSc or Dipl.-Ing.
  • Experience in engine process simulation (0D, 1D) and programming
  • Know-how and experience in the application of simulation tools (GT-Power)
  • Engine performance know-how, 2-stroke preferred
  • Programming skills (C#.NET or other object oriented language, Matlab, VBA, Fortran)
  • Experimental know-how and experience in engine testing and application of measurement techniques
  • Experience in engine development
  • Fluent in English and German
