lm group is looking for a Consolidation and Transaction Services Analyst for its Consolidation team based in Chiasso.
This position will reinforce the consolidation department working on variety of assignments, including financial modelling performed for acquisitions using discounted
cash flow, market approach and transaction approach analyses, purchase price allocations,
intellectual property valuations, business unit and asset impairment valuations, intangible
asset valuations and stock option valuations for all the Group’s segments and companies.
The position will also contribute to other consolidation recurring tasks as the preparation,
analysis and release of the Group financial consolidated statements, in accordance with
IFRS GAAP, internal control requirements and Group financial calendar.
Design and work with financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analyses.
Preparation of valuation reports and presentations.
Analyse financial data to identify trends and operational characteristics.
Support external consultants during the processes of Purchase price allocations and impairment tests both on Group and entity level.
Support the consolidation department to the preparation of the Group monthly closing by performing recurring tasks such as consolidation entries, intercompany reconciliation and elimination and others.
Implements periodical reviews on the reporting packages made by local finance managers
Skills and Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in audit background gained in one of the Big-4 (with deep knowledge of IFRS GAAP) plus minimum of 2 years of experience in valuation and financial modelling and analysis obtained in one major consulting firm.
English proficiency level both oral and written
Ability to produce high-quality financial analysis and narrative reports including presentation with Google and Microsoft tools
French or German as a third language will be considered a plus
Microsoft Excel skills to advanced level, including lookups, pivots, macros and modelling
Ability to build strong relationships required for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, frequently under time pressure
Cross- cultural sensitivity, self-motivated and used to working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Flexibility of working practices, priorities and availability during peaks of the season to meet business demands
