As a Medical Director for Innovation, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer of Nestlé Nutrition you will define and develop the medical and clinical strategic aspects of innovation of the Nestlé Nutrition portfolio. You will oversee and support the clinical, nutritional, dietetic, and related medical components of all stages of innovation and renovation, from concept to commercialization. And will provide medical guidance and support to the clinical aspects of evidence development and scientific substantiation of messages and claims for Nestlé Nutrition portfolio.                                                                                                                                                                 
Key responsibilities
  • Together with the R&D organization, identify scientific, medical, and clinical gaps and opportunities, and develop the Evidence development strategy and plans for portfolio innovation and renovation
  • Direct and manage and the medical aspects of Center Nestlé Nutrition clinical trials, and provide medical input and support to Clinical Research teams, including protocol development, medical oversight of progress, trial monitoring and institutional review board activities.
  • Provide medical, and clinical input to the Medical, Science, and Regulatory Unit (MSRU) and other Center Nestlé Nutrition functions and cross business partners in development of messages, claims, and other communication to HCPs, consumers, and other stakeholders
  • Provide medical and clinical guidance and support to Regional and Market medical, scientific and regulatory activities, including Market driven clinical trials from concept to publication
Education and experience
  • University degree in Medicine and Pediatrics with sub specialization in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition.  Licensed and/ or Board Certified with minimum 3 years’ clinical experience, and with interest and preferably with focus on in clinical nutrition
  • Track record in clinical research and publication
  • Experience and familiarity with the medical, research and general academic and healthcare professional environment
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Fluency in English, knowledge of one or more additional major languages is a plus
  • Business acumen and capability of translating scientific concepts into nutrition and health innovation opportunities
  • Previous experience in industry environment is a plus
