Your tasks

This interlaboratory position will focus on extending the capabilities of a recently developed extractive electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer (EESI-TOF) to enable online detection of metals in aerosol particles. In addition to executing method development and evaluation, the applicant will conduct proof-of-concept measurements at platforms relevant to energy production, industrial activities and atmospheric emissions.

Your profile

The successful applicant will have a PhD in chemistry, atmospheric science or a related discipline. Prior experience with mass spectrometry and/or instrument development is strongly preferred. Experience with aerosol research, as well as computer programming and/or complex data analysis using Igor Pro or other analysis packages is advantageous. Good spoken and written English is required.
