Our team in Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) Informatics is part of Roche’s global Research & Early Development Organization. The mission of our team is the design, development and delivery of innovative integrated scientific informatics solutions and platforms focusing on data capture, analysis, and visualization of chemical, biological and biomedical data to support scientific decision making in all stages of the drug development processes and finally to deliver new innovative treatments to the patients.

This exciting and challenging position supports our efforts to use digital technologies for the high frequency remote monitoring of patient behavior and functioning. In this position you will:

  • Act as a Technical Coordinator for the entire Remote Patient Monitoring Platform, which is part of the Digital Biomarker program at Roche pRED; You will be responsible for technical design considerations and decisions as well as planning and coordination of development efforts across distributed developer teams
  • Ensure compliance to our technology and architectural standards as well as regulatory requirements
  • Provide support for the technical implementation of innovative Remote Patient Monitoring Apps  from an early exploratory stage up to the rollout to a wider patient community
  • Work closely with data scientists, domain experts and enterprise architects to generate seamless solutions
  • Continuously learn new things and look into new technology scouting to keep yourself up-to-date with new trends, in particular in the quickly evolving field of mobile technologies and digital biomarkers
  • Collaborate and share your knowledge with colleagues in Basel and other locations

    Your qualifications:

    • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Medical Informatics or related programs and a good understanding or interest in Pharma and Medicine
    • Strong experience in technical project management and agile Software Development methodologies; leadership of cross-functional and distributed project implementation teams
    • In-depth technical knowledge of the iOS and Android Mobile App development platforms; experience with Wearables and other Sensor technologies is a plus
    • Experience with Cloud platforms for big data storage and analysis
    • Experience to work in a regulatory environment is a plus
    • Strong analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking and structured working style
    • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with a strong focus on delivery
    • Excellent communication skills verbal and written in English
