Global Product Strategy (GPS) provides strategic business direction from research through to development and commercialization excellence, collaborating with functions and affiliates to shape the future of medicine.

GPS University designs and delivers marketing and product strategy courses for members of IBTs, LCTs, and IDCP teams, and is part of the Learning and Planning Excellence group within GPS Excellence (GPSE). GPSE is an integrated group of 4 Centres of Excellence, supporting product launch, digital, planning & learning, and commercial effectiveness.

A core deliverable of the GPS University is to scope, create and deliver an industry-leading Strategic Marketing curriculum that communicates Roche’s core marketing philosophies, competencies, and best practices to commercial teams in GPS. We are looking for a GPSU Training Manager with a strong commercial or drug development background who is ready to make their mark. This role will give you great exposure to GPS and you will work across brands and different functions.

The role will include:

  • Engaging with senior leaders and key stakeholders, e.g. leading thorough needs analysis and aligning on content and approach to training and learning
  • Identifying and applying of cutting edge and creative approaches to adult learning and training; developing, updating and providing input on curriculum content (in collaboration with internal subject matter experts as required)
  • Leading implementation and delivery of the curriculum
  • Consulting with brand and lifecycle teams and helping them implementing Roche’s frameworks when developing their strategies 
  • Promoting of our learning offerings to our internal target audience to ensure it is considered in their individual development planning

  • Who you are

    • Bachelors Degree  (marketing/business or life sciences) is required, Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree in marketing / MBA or related field is desired
    • Min. 3 years commercial or drug development experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred
    • Thorough understanding of product strategy, including key processes, teams, and roles and responsibilities
    • Strong consulting skills, influencing & negotiation, creative thinking & problem solving, strong customer orientation, strong interpersonal skills are required; strong communication/presentation skills, facilitation experience at senior level are required
    • Experience in vendor and budget management is desired; ability to travel globally (10-20% travel time required)
