The Q-LAB at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) currently invites applications for a :
PhD Position in Silicon Photonic MEMS
The Q-LAB is a recently established junior research group at EPFL, providing a stimulating international research environment with access to state‐of‐the art facilities and infrastructure. We are looking for a talented and motivated candidate to join our team, with a passion for micro- and nanosystems engineering research, to advance a cutting edge research project on Silicon Photonic MEMS.
The successful candidate holds a master’s degree in microengineering (or equivalent in a related discipline such as mechanical or electrical engineering, or applied physics, with a focus on micro- and nanosystems). Previous experience in silicon photonics, MEMS and microfabrication is a plus. The candidate needs to be admitted to a Doctoral School Program at EPFL ( phd.epfl.ch).
Activity rate: 100 %
Place of work: Lausanne
Duration of contract: one year contract, renewable from year to year
