EF Educational Tours is currently looking for ambitious, driven and enthusiastic graduates to join a data driven Operations department focused on optimization and continuous improvement for 6 months starting in January/February 2018.

For successful candidates, this traineeship can serve as a step towards a full-time position.

The Role – Operations trainee EF Educational Tours

We are looking for motivated trainees to join Transportation Team.                       
During your internship, you will be supporting the Transport Managers in many different tasks. You will be involved in our logistical bookings, negotiation strategies, quality reviews, and assist in the accounts payable process for our network of suppliers.            
You will also have contact with many different EF staff in order to provide the best on-tour experience for our American and Canadian travelers.

Main areas of responsibility

  • Application of consolidation strategies & strategic booking of services
  • Daily contact with suppliers and with operational budget owners in Lucerne
  • Problem-solving and on-tour support
  • Vendor negotiations and service-level quality control
  • Invoice management and accounts-payable
  • Close collaboration with other departments
  • Communication with EF suppliers
  • Support for EF Tour Directors on the road


All the candidates should be fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, and Italian.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Communication & Negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills, able to multitask
  • Enjoy working with logistics
  • Able to work under pressure and find solution proactively
  • Highly sociable and energetic, positive and with a sense of humor!
  • Nationality of one of the EU or EFTA countries
