About this Role
The HR Business Partner position is responsible for overall HR operational support and closely co-operates with internal customers and Payroll team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to build out and lead Human Resources in San Francisco and supporting our team in New York City. You will be a key member of the team responsible for setting policy, employee relations, compensation, performance management, benefits administration and helping to cultivate the corporate culture. You will report directly to the VP, Finance and work with your overseas counterparts in Prague, CZ.
Responsible for creating an enchanting employee experience from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between.
Act as primary point of contact for employee inquiries setting expectations to time of response providing phenomenal customer service
Communicate benefits to employees and work with 3rd party vendors
Collaborate with employees to resolve issues and escalate to a manager when necessary
Work closely with payroll ensuring payment, bonuses, and final check payout is on time and accurate
Point-person on completing immigration requests, partnering with immigration lawyers, communicating status to relevant parties, and tracking the process on all cases
Maintain Jumpshot HR systems, employee files, processes, and work toward improving systems by automating and simplifying
Stay up to date with local, state, and federal regulations concerning employment (CA & NY)
Support executives and employees in HR administration
Assist in training and development of employees
Collaborate with HR colleagues across the country and overseas
Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience
Good understanding of California labor laws, personal tax laws, and payroll activities
Experience with use of HR technology tools
Must be proficient in MS Office and Google Suite
Strong communication skills
Understand importance of HR data and service quality
Project management experience is a bonus
