As Global Product Group Supply Chain Manager for ABB’s Power Grids GIS & GCB and Hub BU Central Southern Europe (CSE) your responsibility will include SCM, Category Management and Supplier Quality & Development within our Product Group Gas-insulated switchgear and Generator circuit breakers. You will be based in one of our locations in the CSE hub (Switzerland, Germany, Italy or Czech Republic). - Develop and implement our Global Product Group and Hub BU SCM strategy roadmap, in close cooperation with our Global Product Group and Hub BU management teams, global BU and Division SCM as well as Group Function Supply Chain Management

- Based on our SCM strategy roadmap, you will define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for involved Local Product Groups. You will review KPI achievements and ensure timely implementation of improvement and/or corrective actions where required

- You will review, approve, implement and monitor local cost-out programs and/or processes to reach financial targets

- Furthermore you will define, implement, and lead the Hub BU category organization for selected strategic categories

- You will set quality standards, define, implement and lead the Hub BU supplier quality and development organization, to optimize supplier performances in terms of On Time Delivery, On Quality Delivery, minimizing Cost of Poor Quality

- You will drive global supply chain management activities with the support of the global SCM network in order to consolidate volumes and achieve lowest possible costs and required quality and delivery terms, recommend and support qualification of global supplier selection and sourcing.

- Furthermore, together with the BU and Hub BU category team managers, you will analyze demand, markets, suppliers and total relevant costs, to propose optimum sourcing strategy for global, regional and local sourcing

- You will ensure Global Product Group and Hub BU governance with ABB standards on supplier risk and sustainability management, as well as on health and safety, environmental regulations, government regulations and business ethics

- And last but not least, you will drive the implementation of SCM competency development program for the own Global Product Group and Hub BU

- University degree in Engineering or Business Administration, complemented by additional education and/or certifications (e.g. in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Project Management)
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a management position, ideally in an SCM environment
- Minimum of 8 years experience in supply chain management including emerging country sourcing work, leadership of an global SCM organization, effective negotiation strategies and proven success in supplier negotiation / management
- Experience and successful track record to work globally, in a complex matrix organization, and in a multi-cultural environment
- Proven ability to independently recognize, develop and implement effective strategies to complex challenges
- Proven negotiation skills, drive to continuously create results and innovative solutions and proven record to motivate teams
- Skilled communicator who can interface with numerous external and internal parties at all levels
- Fluency in English and ideally German
- Willingness to travel
