lastminute.com group is looking for a Data Engineer for its Marketing Technology's team based in Chiasso.
Key Responsibilities will include
Data Engineer will work on the collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing of huge sets of data.
The primary focus will be on choosing optimal solutions to use for these purposes, then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them.
Integrating the data solutions with the architecture used across the company.
Development of ad-hoc solutions based on data processing framework.
Selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities
Implementing ETL processes
Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes
5+ Years experience as a Data Engineer
Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Google DataFlow, Storm, Spark-Streaming, TIBCO Streambase, etc.
Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala and/or HPE Vertica environment.
Experience with Google DataProc, Spark or similar technologies.
Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume,Talend or Google DataFlow
Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka, TIBCO RendezVous, TIBCO FTL, etc.
Experience with Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML, or H2O, Google TensorFlow
Good understanding of Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks
Proficiency with MapReduce, HDFS is a plus
Amazon Web Services, GCP or Azure platforms experience.
Programming experience with one out of the following languages: Python , R , Bash, Go Language or Scala.
Significant experience in building internal tools to streamline Marketing processes is a plus.
