Lead - Senior Regulatory Manager AME

As a Leader of Africa and Middle East Senior Regulatory Manager you will be responsible to develop, implement, train and audit state of the art policies, processes and systems referring to flavourings and food legislation and business critical reviews for Africa and Middle East. Moreover you will manage 3 team members in Egypt, South Africa and UAE.

  • Actively support the regulatory data management related to Africa and Middle East
  • Expert contribution in data, policies, business processes and system development for AME
  • Monitor food, food additives and flavouring regulatory developments and emerging issues
  • Perform literature review/research for regulatory data for flavouring materials within legal texts such as Codex Alimentarius and local regulations
  • Ensure all products comply with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Strong collaboration and support with commercial and technical teams
  • Provide regulatory consulting to internal customers
  • Provide surveillance for regulatory /legislative issues inclusive develop advocacy within Africa and Middle East
  • Represent Givaudan with Authorities and Trade Organizations in AME as relevant
  • Manage a team of 3 Senior Regulatory Specialists in Egypt, UAE and South Africa
  • Be member of EAME PSRA Leadership team

 

You?

  • University/ Bachelor’s, Master or PhD degree in chemistry or food, biological or physical sciences
  • 5 years or more regulatory affairs experience in food, enzymes, flavour or food additives
  • Previous experience with regulations for Food, Food additives, Flavourings, Fragrances or Pharma
  • Driven by results and strong written communication skills
  • Familiar in setting the right priorities and resilient
  • Ability to work with large crossfunctional teams and stakeholder management
  • Data Management and very good computer skills
  • English is mandatory, additional language skills in French and or Arabic will be a plus point
  • Familiar with other cultures and appreciation of the benefits of diverse, multidisciplinary work teams
  • Excellent communication skills
