Our client, well-established Financial institution is looking for a Counterparty Risk Manager. To be based in Zurich.

Responsibilities:
  • Succesfully manage risk team which consists of 4 Risk officers.
  • The Risk Team is responsible for setting best practice risk management standards, monitoring and pro-actively managing counterparty-, market- and liquidity risks of the systemic relevant central counterparty and central security depository.
  • Being responsible for maintaining and further developing risk methodologies for the systemicmanagement practice and within the applicable regulatory framework
  • Contributing ideas, innovations and insights for the improvement of the risk management function
  • Being able to translate new and changing regulatory requirements into practical deliverables
  • Ensuring Risk Management functions at Securities Services have the required system support to provide the metrics necessary for measuring, monitoring and managing risks
  • Take the lead of methods and systems projects and bring these to a successful conclusion
  • Take initiatives to simplify, automatize and increase efficiency of data processing and work processes
  • Interact with and present to internal and external stakeholders such as the management committee and the risk committee board, competent authorities, international committees and IT vendors
Your profile:
  • Higher degree in mathematics or Banking & Finance
  • Minimum of 6-10 experience in risk management in the financial landscape preferably for Central Counterparty and Central Security Depository
  • Having a strong interest in understanding and assessing changing regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Delivery of individual work to a high standard in set timeframes
  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written and ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Fluent in English and German (verbal and written)
