TC Technical Presales Engineer, 100% (w/m)

The TC Technical Presales Engineer is responsible for the execution of opportunity-specific enterprise telecommunication services designs and the associated offer generation in tenders, such as RfQs, RFIs, and RfPs, following the global TC portfolio strategy and its implementation in the Local Business Unit Switzerland.

The responsibilities will include also the following tasks:

  • Single Point of Contact and Expert for all issues related to the technical solution design in enterprise TC tenders, incl. associated network security services
  • Close collaboration with the local TC Sales, Portfolio, Service Delivery and the Transition Management community
  • Supporting the local and international TC Portfolio Management teams by providing first-hand feedback on product and service functionality, market trends and requirements, as well as actual service and feature availability in the local market

Your Profile

  • Proven knowledge of a broad range of enterprise and carrier telecommunications products and services from a sales, service management and technical perspective, in particular IP Core Networking, IP Routing information Protocols, Carrier Ethernet and other L2 protocols, FCAPS Network Management Software, eTOM service management, IPsec, SIEM, APT, IDS/IPS, NGFW, and Web Security Solutions
  • Project and program management skills with Senior Management exposure
  • Good understanding of service management frameworks –eTom, ITIL-, and Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM)-TOGAF-, ideally with relevant industry certifications
  • Excellent understanding of customer telecom requirements and solutions and their translation into TS service and technical designs
  • Solid understanding of TC portfolio capabilities and their translation into sales lingo (technical to commercial)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of TS service delivery model
  • Solid knowledge about commercial and contract structure
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Fluent English (oral and written); additional local languages a definite plus
