Microtechnology Engineer (MSc. or PhD)

Heptagon’s research and development teams are located in Zurich, Switzerland; development and manufacturing are in Singapore and Shenzhen, China; and business development and sales offices are located in Santa Clara, CA.

We are in the process of expanding our development team located in Zurich (Rüschlikon), Switzerland and

looking for qualified

Microtechnology Engineer (MSc. or PhD)

to be added to our mastering team. The mastering team produces masters of wafer-level micro-optical elements that are supplied to our volume production in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the transfer of micro-optical designs into specific tools for our UV-molding

    technology.
  • You measure and analyze the form accuracy using our precision instruments, and calculate the

    corrections.
  • In our mastering team, you will contribute
    • lens shape metrology and correction
    • data-preparation for our 3D laser-lithography
    • and the 3D-analysis of diffractive elements
  • You document the results

Requirements:

  • You have a completed education, preferably a master degree in micro/nanotechnology, micro-optics,

    micro-fluidics or physics. PhD is welcome
  • You have experience in data analysis, and good knowledge of Matlab and Excel
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Solid Works are beneficial
  • Experience of 3D-Metrology (profilometry, AFM, 3D confocal microscopy) and optics are advantageous
  • A good level in English communication (spoken and written), German is a plus
  • International travel may be required
