Job description

Within the Offline & Omni-channel Customer Experience team, and attached directly to the Director of Merchandising, your mission is to participate in the Go To Market process and bring to life road show events and marketing activations consistently across markets. You actively participate to develop innovative and interactive ways to transform customer experience in store & recruit outside the stores and across all distribution channels in line with marketing strategy and countries markets specificities.


Main Duties

  • Gather all local road show and retail events potential and market needs; analyze potential to recommend an event seasonal calendar with ROI target.
  • In line with international merchandising guidelines, you coordinate the event seasonal calendar; define the big principles of the off-site events, including retail activations, store openings, special events. Deliver merchandising recommendations in line with Marketing, Merchandising, Retail and Concept requirements within the budget constraints.
  • Develop, brief and produce all merchandising assets in line with your projects to create impact and improve customer experience and conversion.
  • Transform creative concept into technical briefs for buying material purposes, following up with the purchasing department and production. Follow and inputs developments.
  • Coordinate planning and logistics, from concept briefing through to execution and reporting analysis, to ensure guidelines are followed effectively. Ensure synergies of activity across region and provide local support with roll out.


Additional functions:

Participating in monthly sharing of best practices with all key markets, to understand and create adhoc tools for specific needs, as well as helping subsidiaries to adopt the merchandising culture of the brand.

Permanently looking at optimizing tools while understanding efficiency and analyzing performance of the merchandising tools at store level.

Bi-monthly tours of the competition (to produce summary reports, draw on the information gained, etc.). Constantly monitoring the competition, keeping yourself and others up to date with the latest trends and identifying ways to integrate these trends through the brand's visual merchandising.  Seek out new events opportunities via continuous research and competitor analysis.

Making one-off adjustments to merchandising recommendations for certain target markets.

Helping to set up in-store tests within the framework of specific projects.


Profile and skills:

 You are a strong project manager, team player, rigorous and organized with good creative sensibility. You believe that customer satisfaction is key and you understand its behaviors. You enjoy working in a team, on projects, with multiple contacts and multiple countries. You keep up to date with the latest trends in creation, make up, fashion and design, and have a keen interest in the world of beauty and cosmetics (good market knowledge essential).  Flexible and adaptable, you have excellent relational skills, perfectly fluent in French and English. Candidates should have a business school degree, majoring in retail/merchandising.  A significant experience in retail events (3 to 5 years) in an international context is a must. In store sales experience and/or travel retail is a plus.
