Position Overview

DB Switzerland SA is one of the largest foreign banks in Switzerland, and is the platform for our WM activities while Investment Banking activities are covered by DB Zurich Branch and Asset Management activities by DWS Switzerland.

The relative small size of the finance team in Switzerland, (13 HC) covering the country Region Finance responsibilities (ex DWS) and the integrated team approach, allows an individual to see most processes within the Bank from front to back. The international team, both in Switzerland as well as in our shared service centres in Manila and Pune, offers a wide range of opportunities for cross-cultural interaction.

The specific role on offer predominantly covers MIS & IFRS reporting for revenues and costs across the Front Office, Products and Infrastructure teams.  As WM Switzerland is predominantly an offshore booking centre with revenue and costs within all three business regions Emerging Markets, Europe and Americas the role involves a considerable amount of Transfer Pricing work covering both front office and infrastructure activities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience Level: Junior - experience in Finance reporting within a banking environment - apprenticeship within a bank appreciated
  • Candidate professional background: solid accounting understanding, to enable validation of booking processes from our offshore teams, revenue accounting for new products and general support for the onshore Finance team.
  • Languages: High level of proficiency in English, with French or German proficiency a distinct advantage
  • IT skills: Excellent IT skills required in MS Office suite (Excel, Access and Powerpoint). Experience with banking sub ledger systems (Avaloq), General ledger (SAP) and IBM Cognos would be advantage.
  • Individual:  Strong team player ability, ability to work with complex reporting requirements and under pressure. Position will suit an adaptable and motivated individual looking to develop their skills and career in a dynamic environment.
