About the department

As a key driver of Novo Nordisk’s future growth, and a geographical scope of 5 Regions covering in total 194 countries, Novo Nordisk International Operations (IO) has a dynamic environment that offers a world of opportunities.

The position

As Senior Project Manager you will drive the strategic supply chain projects across IO, e .g. demand planning and transparency, building effective down-stream collaboration with distributors and wholesalers, route to market optimisation and organisational development. Your general project management skills will be essential – and you will be responsible for managing entire projects, including managing the project team, actively driving project decision making, and ensuring effective stakeholder management. In addition, you will also ensure frequent communication of project progress to project owner, steering committee and senior management.

You will make sure that the opportunities, challenges and priorities within IO are aligned with global best practices and establish close communication with external and internal stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions to address those needs. The assignments will be characterised by high variability and complexity – and with significant impact on the business.

Our organisation is dynamic, with change management being an integrated part of our everyday life. The job puts high demands on your leadership skills in terms of your ability to drive and motivate project team members and other stakeholders and you must have the ability to communicate and inspire across cultures and skilfully encourage others to consider new ideas even though they are not direct reports. You will report to the Vice President responsible for IO Supply Chain & Local Manufacturing.

You hold a Master Degree within relevant area and an extensive understanding and experience in leading strategic projects. Relevant experience from consulting is a must and experience within supply chain in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage but not a requirement. Experience in Demand and Supply processes will be a plus. You have international experience and ability to inspire cross functional teams with fluid structures across geographical boundaries. You are a strong communicator/influencer with the ability to drive decision-making in a clear and concise way across the different levels of the organization. You have a clear understanding how your own project impacts the enterprise/E2E SC and use this understanding to make effective decisions and take actions.
You’ll need to be able to apply this E2E SC understanding to align and manage with other, parallel running projects within the same area and still able to prioritise with conflicting schedules and project interests by managing key stakeholders and building the right value propositions.
Finally, you are comfortable using your fluent written and spoken English on a daily basis.
