Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources LPB, this role will support executive leaders by driving the company's people strategy to achieve primary business goals. Key for this role will be delivering programs that enable a high performance, values driven culture embracing Lonza's core competencies. As a senior member of the global HR community, the Global HRBP will be held accountable to deliver to the following objectives: Develop and deliver effective people related strategies for the business unit. Integrate those HR best-practices as appropriate. Leverage HR metrics that drive action. Provide strategic HR advice to senior management as well as business relevant HR analysis to support decision making that enables accelerated business growth. Ensure highest ethical standards are maintained. As a key partner to the global business unit, contribute to the business strategy, ensure business support, and with the senior leadership team, prepare the strategic plan to enable growth. As a trusted business partner, be comfortable influencing, challenging, and gaining buy-in of executives on core HR people strategies that support the business in achieving its objectives. Ensure alignment across the global business unit with global functions. Define an HR plan with clear objectives. Measure the effectiveness of HR actions and how these drive employee engagement within the business unit. Provide leaders with that information in order to strengthen their ability to lead team effectiveness within the global BU's senior leadership group. Cascade that down throughout the business. Facilitate coaching of individual senior managers when needed. Lead projects within the business and HR that drive innovation, process improvements, and efficiencies within the organization. Go beyond to ensure that Lonza is the place to go, stay, and grow. Partner with the business to develop an effective organizational structure that continues to drive cultural change. Develop and implement organizational, leadership, and capability development for the global business unit. Operate effectively within the matrix organization. Be able to leverage lean / six sigma related tools to help teams improve productivity. Understand individual and team dynamics to help improve engagement where needed.
